S Delfino 93 Classic Style Modern Comfort9

Another unique feature on the 93 is the use of electrically powered fin stabilisers. These have been developed by CMC Marine and the electric power is both quiet in operation and much easier to install. The stabilisers operate both when underway and at anchor. The speed at which the fins operate adjusts automatically to the speed of the yacht.

Heavy surf in the shallow entrance to Viareggio harbour prevented a full scale sea trial from taking place but within the confines of this crowded harbour the Delfino demonstrated it’s potential. There was just a quiet rumble from the engines and manoeuvring was easy and precise. There is every reason to expect sound and safe performance in the open sea

Benetti’s main experience is in building mega-yachts and this experience shows in the design and development of the Delfino. This is a remarkable cruising yacht that offers relaxed cruising at 10 knots when the fuel consumption is just 70 litres per hour. This consumption doubles at the full speed of 13 knots but it is possible to achieve a cruising range of over 1500 miles at the lower speed.

The tradition of the Benetti Classic range may extend back over 40 years but this latest addition to the range is fully up to date. It shows a refinement and style that will appeal to many modern yachtsmen who want to enjoy their yachting experience at a slower pace and in considerable style.
