Riva introduces the new Virtus 63
Published: Sunday, 01 January 2012
This is the Riva 63 Virtus, the result of a partnership between Officina Italiana Design, which exclusively designs all Riva yachts, and Ferretti’s own Advanced Yacht Technology Department and the designers at Centro Stile Ferretti Group.
The yacht follows in the path of the 63 Vertigo, while also drawing on the Riva Rivale, another open yacht. Added space for life on-board yield more comfort. The exteriors feature spacious areas for owners to enjoy the yacht in the company of their guests. There are two large sundecks, one at bow and one astern, under which the garage for the tender is located.
The helm area has a driver’s seat and a three-seater sofa. The cockpit is spacious and equipped with a fridge, sink and – upon request – a grill. An electro-hydraulically operated bimini can be opened up and kept in place while running. Both the master and VIP cabins are ensuite, with a further guest cabin down below. The new Riva is expected to have a top speed of 40 knots and cruise speed of 35 knots on twin MAN 12V engines.
