Sessa Marine speeds up its development in China

After achieving 83% of its turnover out of Italy during the 2010-2011 nautical year, Sessa Marine’s internationalization continues with a strong emphasis on China. It has signed agreements with companies in Hong Kong, Dalian, Xiamen and Shenzhen regions to cover North, Centre and South, as well as Hainan island.
Since they first officially introduced Sessa Marine brand last October at Shenzhen boat show, eight orders were already confirmed, with the Flybridge range leading the requests: five units of Fly 54 sold. Over the next three years, the Italian shipyard intends to consolidate its presence by introducing gradually a large part of the product range from 30 feet up, which up to date, has no less than 14 different models. Besides, Sessa also confirmed to attend all Chinese boat shows.
Since the number of millionaires in China in 2011 was estimated over 500,000 and only 1100 are owners of a boat, there’s an impressive room for improvement. In this favorable environment and through the strong presence, Sessa Marine aims to rapidly increase its reputation in the Chinese market and to achieve a sales target of at least 15%-20% of group turnover in the next years .
