Gulf Craft returned to Doha from March 28 to 30 with its second exclusive display of yachts and superyachts for the Qatari market in as many years to address the strong market interest that has arisen there.

The ‘Majesty Yachts Exclusive Preview’ event was held at The Pearl Qatar and witnesses the Qatari premiere of a Majesty 125, Gulf Craft’s third-largest superyacht model, and a brand new Majesty 105. The latter received high praise for its excellent outdoor entertainment facilities at the recent Dubai International Boat Show. Also on view were other popular Gulf Craft models including the Majesty 56, Majesty 63 and Majesty 70.

“Qatar is a market that is highly boating oriented and a booming one for Gulf Craft.  We have delivered a number of yachts and superyachts to Qatar in recent years, a development which has coincided with the number of new marinas that have come online in the country,” says Mohamed Hussain AlShaali, Chairman of Gulf Craft. He also mentioned that there is a high level of interest in larger-sized yachts, to almost the same degree as in the UAE. Following the feeback received at the Dubai Boat Show, they are keen to showcase some of their more popular models to the Qataris on their home turf.

Erwin Bamps, the Chief Operating Officer, added: “The appetite for larger yachts in the Gulf market has progressed in line with Gulf Craft’s own inroads into the global superyacht industry. We have completed seven superyachts above 30 metres in the past year alone, a significant slice of the international pie considering the global superyacht order deliveries for 2012 stood at just over 200 yachts. As the leader in the boat and yachting market in Qatar, we are strongly committed to this market and have strong dealer partnerships that can ensure that our clients are fully supported in terms of technical support and maintenance.“

Gulf Craft manufacturers luxury yachts and fiberglass boats and is one of an elite circle of boat builders, worldwide, that can produce composite superyachts of larger than 45 metres. It was founded in the United Arab Emirates in 1982 and has built a distinguished reputation for its diversity of vessels, ranging from fishing and family boats to semi-customized luxury superyachts. With an annual production capacity of around 500 boats, Gulf Craft has a presence in all boating markets globally through its Majesty Yachts, Oryx and Silvercraft brands.
