The Overmarine Group took part in the recent Hainan Rendez-Vous in Sanya, China, along with new its partner, Martello Yachting.
The boat show was an opportunity to announce the sale of two yachts - one a 50 metre from the Mangusta 165 range, the other hull number 30 of the Mangusta 108 range - further ascerting the strong presence of the Mangusta brand in the world of luxury yachting.
"Just a few months after the sale of the eighth unit, the contract has been signed for Mangusta 165 number nine!" said Francesco Frediani, Commercial Director of the Group. "Since it was first launched in 2007, nine units of the Maxi Open Yacht 165 have been sold in under six years making it the pride of the Group".
At 50 metres in length and a top speed of 40 knots, the Mangusta 165 is the fastest composite Maxi Open Yacht ever built. Its volumes can be compared with those of a three-deck yacht of the same size, not readily apparenrt due to her pure lines and sporty profile.
The Mangusta 108 is the perfect fusion of high technology, spacious interiors and painstaking care over detail. Her racy lines, excellent seaworthiness, reduced vibrations and noise, spacious interiors and innovative layout fit Overmarine's philosophy perfectly. The interior style was a perfect harmony of the owner’s wishes and Overmarine Group’s Design Department skills. The salon on the main deck can easily be turned into a dining-room where guests can enjoy dinner while gazing at the stars through the sliding sunroof. On the lower deck there are four comfortable cabins, all with en-suite heads. The master suite includes a study. A large sundeck allows sunbathing in complete privacy.
Overmarine was founded in 1985 by the Balducci family. It is still fmaily owned and builds luxury maxi open and displacement yachts bearing the Mangusta and Mangusta Oceano brandnames, as well as the Effebi naval and coastguard ships. Over 300 yachts have been sold to date, all based on a combination of innovation and technology, high quality, luxury features, great attention to performance and safety, comfort, Italian style and made-to-measure interiors.
The current Mangusta range features nine Maxi Opens, from the 72 to the 205, to which the Mangusta Oceano 148, a three-deck displacement yacht, has now been added.
The Overmarine Group has more than 10 production facilities based in Viareggio, Massa and Pisa, Tuscany, with 190,000 square metres of indoor and outdoor space. Moulding of the ships in composite materials is carried out by one of the Group's subsidiaries. It has its own wharf, with a landing stage equipped for final after sales layover and preparation in Viareggio. The company also has premises in Fort Lauderdale, USA, and a network of dealers strategically distributed all over the world to guarantee comprehensive before and after sales service.
