The Ferretti Group took advantage of the Qingdao International Boat Show 2013 to reaffirm its commitment to developing the Asian market, with special attention to Greater China, and to also launch two new boats, the Pershing 82 foot and the 33-foot Aquariva Super. The show runs from May 23 to 26.
The unveiling of the of the Aquariva Super took place at the Ferretti stand during a press conference held by Ferretti Group CEO Ferruccio Rossi and President and CEO of Ferretti Group Asia Pacific, Mauro Frattesi. They outlined their development guidelines and their aim to expand into the entire Asia Pacific area with special focus on China, Thailand, Australia and Singapore through their new subsidiary based in Hong Kong. They will also create commercial offices and showrooms in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Qingdao, Xiamen and Sanya.
The Pershing 82 is a classy but sporty new model created by Fulvio De Simoni in cooperation with AYTD and the Ferretti Group’s team of architects and designers. She is 24.97 metres long and 5.50 metres wide. The maximum speed is 45 knots and the range 300 nautical miles thanks to two powerful MTU 16V M93 2435 (1792 kW) engines with Searex SR140S drives and Rolla surface propellers.
This yacht has two main distinguishing features: the sundeck with a retractable helm station, which makes the yacht look even more slender and offers unprecedented height; and the carbon-fibre staircase that can be automatically lowered into the cockpit by means of an electro-hydraulic control system and then retracted upwards when no longer needed.
She comes in both a standard version, with four cabins and an optional one with three guest cabins and lounge-cinema room.
Aquariva has become the symbol of Riva’s style and contemporary elegance just like the Aquarama of days gone by. The Aquariva Super is the result of the cooperation between Officina Italiana Design and the Ferretti's engineers and designers. The soft, stylish lines of this 33-footer compliment the fine woods used for the deck – mahogany with maple engravings – protected by 18 layers of paint. The search light is a typical element on Riva yachts and consists of more than 200 components.
The electronic two-speed automatic transmission improves minimum cruising speed acceleration and optimises maximum speed performance. This innovative electronic transmission enhances the power of the two 380 horse power Yanmar engines producing outstanding performances and offering a maximum speed of 41 knots and a range of 150 miles at cruising speed.
