Most exhibitors were pleased with this year's Hong Kong Gold Coast Boat Show, with two confirmed contracts signed at the show. Starship Yachts, which is now working with Ferretti Yachts, confirmed a contract signed for a Ferretti 620 at the show, while Navinode, dealer for Delta Yachts of Sweden, confirmed that a contract had been signed on a Delta 33.

The weekend's weather may have played a part, as predicted thunderstorms and inclement weather failed to materialise, and the sun was out for most of the exhibition. Organisers at the Hong Kong Gold Coast Marina estimated that approximately 5,300 visitors were on hand. Other potential sales from major exhibitors such as Simpson Marine and Sunseeker Asia have been hinted at, though not yet confirmed. In some cases, dealers report that sales are in the offing the moment berths have been sorted out.

Exhibitors also report that a mix of potential clients from mainland China and Singapore joined local Hong Kong buyers at the event.
