Sunreef Yachts introduces the New 90 Sunreef Power
Published: Tuesday, 21 May 2013
Following the launch of the successful 70 Sunreef Power in 2008, and then the 60 Sunreef Power in July 2012, Sunreef Yachts is now introducing a brand new power catamaran concept with the 90 Sunreef Power, another milestone in luxury catamaran design.
The pivotal theme here is to combine the superb space offered by the large beams in catamarans with traditional motoryacht layout styles. This space arrangement will please demanding motoryacht owners who look for excellent motoryacht design and layout combined with catamaran advantages such as stability, extensive living and storage space, cruising comfort, shallow draught, low fuel consumption, and good oceanic range.
This is a contemporary, streamlined vessel making her look like a truly sporty motoryacht. The interior design is light and minimalist with modular furniture on the main deck and the flybridge allowing changeable configurations. Built-in furniture will be installed only within the hulls. The interior finish and layout are fully customisable as on all Sunreef yachts. Wide deck windows allow for plenty of natural light.
The main deck includes a spacious aft deck with for dining and lounging with sofas, Jacuzzi and sun pads for up to 10 guests. There is private access to the crew quarters located in the starboard hull, while the captain’s cabin is aft in the port hull. The main doors lead to an open saloon including a bar, dining area and rest area with sofas, cocktail table and armchairs. This area also features two side folding balconies and a day head. The owner suite with its private bathroom is located further forward on the main deck. It has an office area and walk-in wardrobe. The saloon also provides direct access to the flybridge via a centrally positioned glass staircase.
The walk-around flybridge comprises enclosed and open spaces. The internal space includes a fully equipped helm station and a private lounge area, featuring a glass ceiling to let in more light. The exterior part houses a dining area and sun pads.
There is beach club platform aft, typical of many motoryachts, to allow guests to be close to the water while at anchor or at low speeds. It provides easy access to all water toys and the tender stored in the aft dinghy garage.
Aft and amidships in the starboard hull is the crew quarters, accessible from the cockpit. It houses the crew cabins, laundry, galley and mess room. A double guest cabin is located forward. The portside hull houses the captain’s cabin and two guest cabins. All cabins have en-suite bathrooms and extensive storage.
The 90 Sunreef Power is 25.9 metres long, with an 11.3-metre beam and mere 1.7-metre draught and she displaces 100 tons. Power comes from two 1,800 horsepower engines with 20,000 litres of fuel capacity giving a 2,900-nautical mile range. Her top speed is listed at 30 knots.
The project has already received serious enquiries with the possibility of contracts in the near future.
