Leopard Yachts, which are built by Robertson and Caine in South Africa, have sold the first of their new 58-foot flagship into Asia, with the company’s North China dealer Furi Group selling the yacht to a client. The first of these 58s will be delivered to Asia by April 2014, and tentative plans include a first showing of the yacht at the Hainan RendezVous. The 58 incorporates a large flybridge with a lounge area and seating for up to 12 people. A wet bar and grill on the fly are available as options. There is a helm station fully located on the fly, marking a first for Leopard. The 58 also features a forward open cockpit area with direct access to the saloon – a feature only found on Leopard catamarans. The Leopard 58 comes with various layout options and can be configured with between two and six cabins, with two to six shower rooms and heads. The first 58 was built by an owner interested in chartering his yacht, with two guest cabins located on the main deck level and four more below. Owner-operators can choose a wide-open saloon and galley instead, or even to have one large master cabin on the main deck facing forward and four more in the hulls.
