Organisers of the Nansha Bay International Boat Show, which takes place from October 10 to 13 at the Nansha International Marina, near Guangzhou, have been pleased by the number of exhibitors that have so far returned or will be turning up for the first time. Among the exhibitors that have reserved spaces are Princess Yachts South China, Sunseeker Asia, Azimut Yachts China, Poly Marquis Yachts, Jebsen Marine, Starship Yachts, Nautica Salpa Yachts, Speedo Marine, Omnia Marine, Heysea Yachts, Dafeiyang Yacht, Maxi Marine, Guangzhou Minhua, Noble Boats International, Sunway Yachts, Nisi Yachts and the Hong Kong Shipyard. The upcoming show, which is the follow up to the inaugural event last October, is expected to be bigger than last year. According to organisers, some 40 on-water berths have been booked so far, and over 500 square metres of on-shore exhibition space has been reserved. The show organisers also signed a memorandum of understanding with the organisers of the Singapore Yacht Show to find ways of cooperation last April. Last year's event was also preceeded by the China Marina Conference, in which participants from the marina industry gathered to review means of expansion in China. The Nansha Marina opened in 2012 as part of a 21-square kilometre development that already has a golf course and hotel-resort complex. The development has its own ferry terminal that connects the complex to Hong Kong, while roads and eventually a rail link will connect with Guangzhou.
