New Pershing 62’ at Cannes and Genoa boat shows

Pershing, a leading manufacturer of motor yachts under the Ferretti Group, has chosen the Cannes Boat Show, being held between 10 and 15 September, and the Genoa Boat Show, between 2 and 6 October as the scenes for the launch of its latest model, the new Pershing 62’.
At 18.94 metres long and 4.80 metres wide, the new vessel was designed by Fulvio De Simoni, in collaboration with AYTD (Advanced Yacht Technology & Design) and the team of engineers, architects and designers of the Ferretti Group. In keeping with the brand’s DNA, it is fast and elegant and combines functionality, security and complete comfort with excellent seaworthiness.
Based largely on two very successful predecessors, the Pershing 56 and Pershing 58, the 62’ is an eye catcher with its sleek and streamlined profile.
This new model, designed to guarantee optimal performance at sea, is available with two engine versions: double MTU 10V 2000 M84s producing 1,381 horse power, or two MTU 10V 2000 M93s offering 1,524 horse power. The second option allows a top speed of 46.5 knots and cruising at 42. The standard version of comes equipped with Searex surface propellers. An Autotrim system can be installed upon request.
At the stern is a functional launching and storage system for the tender previously only available on the larger models. A mobile and foldable platform in the central part of the beach club allows quick and simplified handling of the tender in the garage and uses a winch rather than cranes to lower it into water.
There are large sunbathing areas both in the cockpit and on the bow. The central part of the deckhouse is rough and anti-slip to allow guests to access the sundeck easily, while the sides are smooth and slightly wavy. The front windshield is a single piece of laminate, 3.7 metres wide. The main saloon, with its ebony elements, can be reached through a sliding door, a characteristic which combines the cockpit with the saloon to create a large open space for use by the guests.
The standard layout for the Pershing 62’ includes three cabins: the owner’s suite, a VIP and a guest cabin in the starboard bow, and three bathrooms with separate showers. The guest bathroom has entrances from both the cabin and the lobby and also serves as a day head. The galley is on the port side and receives extra light from an opening in the ceiling. The alternative version has two cabins: the owner’s suite and one VIP cabin. The guest cabin is replaced by a living room furnished with a queen size sofa bed. Both versions have a crew cabin, which can be reached from the cockpit, with a single bed and integrated bathroom.
