Admiral Tecnomar’s Russian representative, Nakhimov Yachts, recently announced the sale of a new construction project for a very futuristic 52-metre yacht to be built completely of aluminium for a Russian client. Nakhimov’s project management team will oversee this build and the launch is expected in early 2016.
The vessel will have a revolutionary hybrid power system with four MAN V12-1800 (1324kW) main diesel engines and two (150kW) electric propulsion systems. Combined these systems will push this yacht to a top speed of 25 knots, impressive for a boat of this size.
The owner had stipulated that the yacht must be very efficient and so it is being equipped with Servogear controllable pitch propellers and a modern variable-speed Northern Lights generator.
The extremely modern exterior design and futuristic lines are the work of Dobroserdov Designs in Monaco, while naval architecture is by Vripak of the Netherlands and the yard’s own engineers. The yacht will be equipped with a custom eight-metre carbon-fibre limo tender.
As normal the master suite will be situated on the main deck with four guest cabins located on the lower deck. Also on the lower deck will be a full-beam spa area with a sauna, hammam (steam room) and a massage room.
