Turkish boat builder Sirena Marine is using the Cannes Boat Show to premiere its new flagship in their Azuree series, the Azuree 46.
With exterior design and styling by Ron Humphreys and an interior put together by the Sirena Marine design team, this new vessel was designed with a performance focus. She has chines and a broad beam and much more attractive coach roof design than her predecessors and she comes with a three-cabin layout
She has an overall length of 13.99 metres (13 metres at water level) and a beam of 4.25 metres. Her draft is 2.6 metres and she displaces 10,450 kilogrammes. Her hull is comprised of a material called vinilester and was constructed using a vacuum-assisted infusion process. The Azuree carries 251 litres of fuel for her 55-horsepower engine and 400 litres of fresh water.
Her mainsail is 70 square metres and her jib 54.5 square metres, giving her a total sail area of 124.5 metres. She has a surprisingly low wetted area in order to minimise drag and this combined with her generous sail plan is expected to produce some good turns of speed when she finally hits the water.
