Last year saw Overmarine update the Mangusta 108 to the 110 and the Mangusta 94 to the 98. This year, it has given the same honours to the decade-old 130, which sees the launch of the Mangusta 132 – a 132-foot open superyacht.

Stefano Righini and Overmarine’s in-house design team designed the new boat. They borrowed the hydrodynamics improvements of the much larger Mangusta 165, while the large windows and skylights, for added interior illuminations, came from the 110 and 98 designs, as did the idea of a second helm station.

The master suite is full beam and located on the main deck. Up to 10 guests can be accommodated on the lower deck in five staterooms, all with their own en-suites. There is also an option to replace one of the staterooms with a spacious salon on the lower deck. The flybridge, which also has the second helm station forward, is largely used for sunning and alfresco dining. As with all the Mangusta Series, Overmarine offers a range of interior layout options and designs to satisfy all owner tastes and desires.

Powered by twin 4600-horsepower MTU engines driven through new S3Np KaMaWa Rolls Royce water jets the Mangusta 132 can reach an impressive 36 knots top speed – wihout any vibrations and markedly reduced noise levels. Additionally, she is fitted with zero-speed gyroscopic stabilisers for use both at anchor and when underway.

Overmarine have truly taken a good thing and made it even better. It will be proudly displayed at the forthcoming Cannes Boat Show in early September.
