Simpson Marine, Asia's leading yacht dealer and broker, recently opened its third Taiwan office in the southern city of Kaohsiung, to support growing demand for yachting in Taiwan.

The new office, located in Kaohsiung's Yancheng district, will provide customers with support and advice on yacht purchasing, aftersales service and maintenance for existing yacht owners, as well as tips on the best places to enjoy yachting around the Taiwanese coastline.

Simpson Marine has seen increasing interest in yachting in Taiwan in recent years, boosted by the government’s investment in marine infrastructure. The company expects this interest to continue to grow, aided by events such as June's inaugural Penghu Regatta, for which the dealer was a joint sponsor. It therefore opened this Kaohsiung office to provide additional support for yacht customers in southern Taiwan.

Julian Jesson, General Manager of Simpson Marine Taiwan, said: "We are delighted to be opening this new office to help meet the growing demand for yachting in Taiwan, and to bring additional yachting expertise and services to Kaohsiung.

"Taiwan's location creates fabulous conditions for sailing, while its natural beauty makes it an attractive base from which yacht owners can cruise to new destinations.

"We share the Taiwan government's belief that Taiwan can develop into a leading regional yacht hub, and we are proud to help support that development with our new Kaohsiung office."

Simpson Marine celebrated its expansion with a small office opening ceremony and cocktail event for some 50 selected guests on 6 August.

The Kaohsiung office follows the opening of the Simpson’s first office in Taipei in 2004 and a second in Penghu in 2010. It is located on Qixian 3rd Road in the city's Yancheng district.
