To cope with increased superyacht traffic following the opening up of the Lau Island Group in Fiji, its entry point to tourism, the Vuda Point Marina is being extended to offer increased berthing and improved facilities. Accompanying this is will be the development of private luxury villas, marina apartments and beachfront villas.

Ideally situated on the western end of the main island, Viti Levu, between the Nadi International Airport and Luatoka City, it boasts a close proximity to all key areas as well as being a good jump off area to discover the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands to the northwest.

The marina extension will result in 10 65-metre berths, 10 35-metre berths and 30 berths for yachts up to 15 metres. Entrance to the marina is afforded through a 25-metre wide and six-metre deep wide channel in the reef. It is well marked with both beacons and lights.

A full array of marina services will be offered. The docks are state-of-the-art with 24-hours security and CCTV-camera coverage. There will be slip-slide pump-out stations as well as waste oil and filter disposal facilities. Full dockside lighting and boat cleaning services will be provided. There will also be a crew lounge with wireless internet connectivity and cable TV.

Once completed, the Vuda Point Marina will provide an ideal point for visiting superyachts to use a a base when entering Fiji and a superb point from which to embark on their explorations of this newly-opened up destination area.
