Once again a prestigious acknowledgement for the CRN shipyard of the Ferretti Group specialising in the construction of fully-customized displacement megayachts, made of steel and aluminium, ranging from 40 to 90 metres.
CRN's 60 metre megayacht J’ade was awarded the “World Yacht Trophy 2013”, in an initiative organised by the French editorial Luxmedia Group to award the best yachts exhibited by the leading shipyards from all over the world. The ceremony was held on the Saturday of the Cannes Boat Show, during a gala event.
“This prestigious prize,” declared Lamberto Tacoli, the chairman and CEO of CRN, “ is to be shared with the owner along with the designers of Studio Zuccon International Project and all the CRN employees, who built it with great skill and professionalism”.
The experts on the international jury recognized the innovative contents of J’ade and, above all, its garage, which for the first time on any CRN megayacht, is floodable and allows the tender to enter inside without using a crane.
The side hatch of the garage is operated hydraulically and the internal basin fills with water to allow the tender to go in and out easily. The border of the basin has protections to avoid damage and it also has underwater lights to create a dramatic effect. Without a tender, it becomes a pleasant on-board swimming pool. The tender bay requires very little time to empty. In fact the 18,000 litres of water can be emptied in just three minutes. The project was studied and designed such as to create a combined area with the beach club, forming a single open lounge area, a very elegant and refined space with close contact to the sea. An integrated beach club which can be enjoyed by the owner’s family and friends who can quickly make use of a tender to have a swim closer to the beach.
J’ade is made of steel and aluminium, has an overall length of 60 metres and a 10.20-metre beam. She has four decks and a sub-lower deck. She comfortably accommodates 10 guests in four cabins and an owner’s suite along with 13 crew members. This megayacht, which has a sharp and streamlined external profile, has a strong and distinguishing identity, thanks to the special full-length windows from which panoramic views can be enjoyed from the upper saloon. In the owner’s suite one can stay in contact with the sea from the balcony, an outdoor space which can also be enjoyed while sailing and which has now become a CRN owner’s must-have.
