After a successful five-year cooperation with China Cup, Beneteau has announced the beginning of a new era of cooperation with China Cup for the 2013 edition which will run from 25 to 28 October.
By joining strengths over the past five years, China Cup and Beneteau were able to attract many foreign teams to sail the South China Sea and, by doing so, spread the prestige of the event worldwide. Today, China Cup is both the leading regatta in China and a major event on the international yacht-racing calendar.
As a world leader, Beneteau is fully committed to promoting sailing as a sport and to the development of the sailing lifestyle in China. China Cup is thus a unique partner to help spread Beneteau’s vision across China.
Again this year, both these leading organisations have confirmed the strength of their relationship and their commitment to sailing in China as well as to ambitious projects in the future. As before, base and professional support will be provided by the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club and the Shenzhen. Vanke Longcheer Yacht Club
During the forthcoming 7th Edition of the China Cup International Regatta (CCIR), the Beneteau China team will be participating on board one of the First 40.7 racing sail boats and Beneteau has invited one of the best sailors in the world, Sebastien Col, to take the helm. Col, famous for his participation in the America’s Cup and his number one ranking in match racing, joins the list of prestigious names that Beneteau has invited to come racing in China and participate in the China Cup. Undoubtedly Col and the rest of the Beneteau China crew will be fighting hard for the championship title of the 7th CCIR.
