During a lunch roundtable presentation at the 2013 Monaco Yacht Show, Feadship Director Dick Van Lent confirmed that the Dutch builder, which comprises the Royal Van Lent Shipyard and Koninklijke De Vries Sheepsbouw, now has four projects in build for Chinese clients, all between 40 and 50 metres. Three of the yachts in build are for Mainland China clients, while the fourth is for a Hong Kong-based client. According to Van Lent, there are now ten superyachts in various stages of build with Feadship.

The strong order book in East Asia came on the back of the tour of Helix, a Feadship 45-metre semi-custom yacht, which was showcased at numerous yacht shows in Asia, including the Hainan Rendezvous, the Singapore Yacht Show, the Nansha boat show and the Xiamen Boat Show. Van Lent credited the tour of Helix with creating the breakthrough in China, though Helix itself remained unsold and is back in the Mediterranean. Feadship's first sale into mainland China was Blue Sky, the last of the 45-metre semi-custom series, which Feadship has now discontinued. Van Lent said that all the projects for Asian buyers would be delivered in the next two and a half years.
