Hanse Yachts AG says that its sales for the first quarter for the fiscal year 2013-2014 have shown and unprecedented increase of about 85 percent when compared with last year. This amounted to some €27.6 million for the period between July and September.
According to Hanse CEO, Jens Gerhardt, these orders were largely due to the introduction of their new multi-brand strategy and the introduction of new models much more in line with market expectations. The company invested some €2.5 millions in research and development in the 2012-2013 business year and this is now paying off.
The best selling model have been the Hanse 345 and Hanse 575 introduced last autumn, which have exceeded all expectations. Some 80 boats have been sold over the past year including 30 of the Dehler 38. The recently launched Varianta 37 is likely to keep the production team at Griefswald very busy in the coming months.
Gerhardt also mentioned that the company’s latest developments, the Hanse 505 and the Moody 54 Decksalon have also garnered considerable interest at recent shows in Holland, Cannes and Southampton.
