The 14th Edition of the Ambassadors’ Cup will once again see all the ambassadors and diplomatic representatives in Singapore being invited to compete in this unique regatta which has been hosted since its inception by the Changi Saling Club. It grows in prestige and stature each year.

The Host Ambassador for this years’ Regatta welcoming his colleagues from around the world will be His Excellency  Luís Fernando de Andrade Serra, the Brazilian Ambassaador to Singapore.

In 2012, the Ecuadorian Team beat 30 other nations to win the event. Previous winners have included diplomats from Belgium and Hungary.

Nations Unite To Sail In Singapore

Following a champagne breakfast at 10.00 am, some 40 yachts from all other Singapore marinas will assemble at Changi Sailing Club, with the diplomatic representatives drawing their boats from a hat before the race kicks off at 1.00pm on 2nd November.

The event is open to keelboast, catamarans, trimanrans and even little Access 2.3 dinghies. The main sposnor for this year’s event is the Franco-German-Spanish Eurocopter Group, a world leader in aerospace and defence-related services.

Sailing with some of Singapore‘s best yachtsmen, this veritable United Nations of teams are assured of a competitive but a fun-filled day on the water. Even more fun is expected during the evening social event with live music, Samba dancing and plentiful food and drinks as the award dinner begins at 7.00 pm.

Entry for the day is free and the public are welcome.
