Yacht provisioning now available for Andamans

Now, for the first time yachts cruising in the Andaman Islands can arrange for provisioning either before or during their journey through these stunning islands. This is according to R. Rathnam, director of Asia Pacific Superyachts Andaman Islands. “Provisioning in and around the Andaman Sea was not possible previously but we now have a new provisioning facility and can arrange for delivery right to the yacht, right in Port Blair. Owners and captains can select from a huge inventory of fresh and sought after provisions”, said Rathnam.
This is really noteworthy since provisioning is a major consideration, especially for superyachts interested in cruising the Andaman Sea. Provisioning in Port Blair will begin this season. Most of the provisions ordered will come from the Indian mainland by plane and be delivered directly on board the vessel. This will certainly enhance the cruising experience for superyacht owners wishing to explore the beautiful Andaman Islands.
Along with this comes the news that the Indian government is looking to further relax its immigration restrictions by extending issuance of visa-on-arrival for visitors from 40 more countries. This will help the country overcome its national security fears and greatly boost the tourism industry thereby making India a much more tourist-friendly country.
