New Zealand’s Alloy Yachts has just introduced the MY47, a 47-metre motor yacht which offers an all inclusive turnkey package. Designed by Dubois Naval Architects, with interiors by Ally Yachts, and based on the award winning, Loretta Anne, the MY47 will be available in four models: a tri-deck version with and without a beach club and a fly-bridge version with and without beach club.

The MY47 is a turnkey solution, including the functions of both a yacht designer and an interior designer, meaning the customer gets the confidence and simplicity of an all inclusive process and price.

She comes with a two-year warranty - double that offered by most yards. Based on the yards experience constructing similar yachts and their pre-engineering of many of the design features and components, the construction time can be radically reduced.

This yacht caters to those customers looking for a high-quality personalised build, but without the time and cost that a full custom boat traditionally demands.

At 47 metres LOA, she sports a 9.2-metre beam and a 2.2-metre draft. She displaces 288 tonnes lightship and 488 gross tonnage. With twin caterpillar C32 Tier III 1,600-horspeower engines she will cruise at 14 knots and top out at about 17 knots. At cruise speed she has a range of some 3,500 nautical miles thanks to her 57,235-litre fuel capacity.

In her flybridge version the MY47 can accommodate 12 guests in five cabins with en-suites, three doubles and two twins, and two Pullmans with single berths. The tri-deck differs by offering four doubles and two twins. The eight crew members are housed in three twin cabins and a double.

At the same time, Alloy Yachts are celebrating their win at the International Superyacht Society Design and Leadership awards held at the recent Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Their 39-metre CaryAli won "Best Motoryacht in the 24 to 40-metre category". Designed by René van der Velden, she is a modern and stylish expedition yacht equipped for long-range travel. Her very experienced owners were very hands on during the design and build process, so winning the award was also testament to their vision of the project.
