Phatsara for sale in Phuket

Phatsara, the largest privately owned catamaran in the world, was berthed at the Ocean Marina Yacht Club recently and was one of the highlights of the 2013 Ocean Marina Pattaya Boat Show.
The Thai-owned 115-foot custom-built power catamaran was built in a Hua Hin shipyard and launched in 2012.
The owner had two specific objectives in mind when planning the build: offshore fishing and extensive accommodation for family, guests and crew This is why Phatsara has four decks divided into various living and utility areas, and features three staterooms sleeping up to eight guests, together with sixteen casual berths and additional crew berths.
The hull and superstructure were constructed using the latest technology from High Modulus who inspected the construction at every stage.
Apart from a trial trip to Singapore and back, the catamaran has remained virtually unused. The owner, after completion of the vessel, then decided to construct a larger yacht and thus Phatsara was presented for sale at the Ocean Marina Pattaya Boat Show through specialist luxury yacht broker Northrop and Johnson.
The owner, who has a passion for detail, supervised the exterior and interior design. The large open spaces, the materials used and the exquisite decoration makes Phatsara an exclusive, high-end catamaran with an average speed of 20 knots. She is very well presented and ready for her next owner.
Thailand has a growing reputation for building quality yachts, but few are as large as Phatsara. Arguably the most famous, and possibly the largest yacht ever built in Thailand, was S/Y Mirabella, built in Pattaya at the Ocean Marina Yacht Club in 1994 by the now-defunct Concorde Yachts. She is 41.4 metres and was designed by Bruce Farr. Following a major refit in 2010, she remains a popular luxury charter superyacht in the area.
