88 Metre Illusion Under Construction In China

The 88 metre megayacht Illusion is currently under construction at Raffles shipyard in Shandong province and is scheduled for delivery mid 2015. The Azure Naval Architects studio drew up the architectural plans, while the exterior styling was designed by RSD which has designed a variety of yachts up to 170 metres in length. Renowned designer Sander Sinot created the modern, Asian-inspired interior.
Powered by Rolls Royce diesel electric propulsion engines, Illusion will have an impressive cruising speed of 14 knots, and a maximum cruising speed of 17 knots. Her 15.6 metre beam will create huge volumes over her six decks, and result in a displacement of 3,500 tonnes.
Upon completion Illusion and will be represented for sale by Jan Jaap Minnema, from Fraser Yachts Monaco.
