Navico’s new logistics facility in Suzhou, China, has officially opened. Situated in the Suzhou Industrial Park, the China Logistics Centre (CLC) is the fourth logistics centre of its kind for Navico, and will work closely with its fellow centres in North America, Australia, and The Netherlands.

The official opening was attended by Navico’s China and Hong Kong based customers and suppliers, as well as Navico senior management including CEO Leif Ottosson. Michael Xiao, Manager of Navico’s China Logistics Centre commented “We see this centre as very important both for our development in China and Asia, as well as for improving our global operations and footprint.”

Currently Asia represents about 7% of total Navico sales, and this number is expected to increase to 25% within the next three years. The opening of Navico’s CLC will also enable the company to have some light manufacturing and research & development (R&D) functions in China.
