Riva Launches 122ft Mythos

In a busy week for CRN’s Ancona shipyard, the launch of a 122-foot superyacht heralded a new era for the Riva brand. Not only is the Mythos the biggest ship made by Riva to date, it is also the first all aluminium construction from the classic Italian marque. The 122’ Mythos is an evolution of the 86’ Domino, from which it has inherited its main styling features.
The owner of the first hull has requested the three-cabin optional version, while the standard version proposed by the shipyard has four cabins. An additional optional layout with five cabins is also available. The light-weight planing hull can reach a maximum speed of 27.5 knots with a cruising speed of 25 knots thanks to two 3,510 horsepower MTU engines.
“It’s a very special day for Riva and for all of us at the Ferretti Group as it marks a new chapter in Riva’s prestigious 172–year history” commented Ferretti Group’s CEO Ferruccio Rossi, “This is indeed for the Mythos the beginning of a path that we believe will be extremely successful.”
Especially poingant is that the Mythos also symbolises the renewed spirit of cooperation between CRN and Riva that began with a collaboration between the yards in the 1960s. Both are members of the Ferretti Group.
