Luxury Yacht Share Asia On-Water Open Day

On April 26-27, Hong Kong Island’s southern shores came alive with craft and crowds at the launch of the city’s first fractional yacht show. The On-Water Open Day – Fractional Yacht Show, created by Asia Marine Yacht Services CEO Eric Noyel, showcased the innovative fractional yacht ownership programme developed by Luxury Yacht Share Asia (LYSA). This atmospheric event featured luxury yachts and entertainment while Hong Kong residents were introduced to the ease of acquiring a yacht for a fraction of its price.
The guests learned how beautifully simple the programme is, as well as how smart. Asia Marine Yacht Services developed the fractional programme that highlights three key advantages over a full yacht purchase:
1. The ownership of a luxury vessel is shared equally among four shareholders.
2. The acquisition cost is leveraged through a loan provided by the yacht supplier.
3. Owners receive charter income out of unused time.
During the weekend, guests checked in at the Auto Italia showroom in Repulse Bay and embarked from the pier to discover the fleet of 12 yachts moored off five nearby islands.
From a 30-footer and a 40s cruiser to 60 and 70 sports cruisers, 70s Flybridges and some wonderful 90-footer craft, the event showcased yachts available for fractional ownership to suit every budget, every cruising style and every occasion.
On Saturday evening, 240 guests joined Noyel and his team for the On-Water Open Days cocktail party, celebrating the launch of LYSA and its inaugural yacht co-ownership programme. Four yachts moored together, twinkling with lights, created the dream-like setting for drinking and dining, evoking the spirit of St Tropez in tropical Repulse Bay.
The event partners and sponsors included Auto Italia, which provided the luxurious showroom for welcoming guests, as well as test drives of the latest Quattroporte Maserati; Crédit Agricole Private Banking; Oriental Watches and its sophisticated Swiss brand pieces by De Bethune and Hautlence; jewellery brand Van Eyck; Mumm Champagne and Royal Vodka Dragon; and special gifts were provided by Roberto Cavalli.
