Mcconaghy Boats Establish New Zealand Office 1

Founded in 1967 McConaghy Boats has built a reputation as a yacht builder and on the race circuit. Now, McConaghy is going to use its race boat technology to move into the large yacht market. Part of this strategy is establishing a New Zealand office to add to its presence in Australia where the company is based. McConaghy also has facilities in China.

The New Zealand office will be run by highly experienced superyacht personnel Rodney Martin and Paul Vivian, both formerly of Fitzroy Yachts, and they will be joined by a team of six to eight experienced design and engineering staff. The New Zealand team’s prime focus will be on marketing the company within the superyacht sector and working on design programmes for the McConaghy Group.

“New Zealand has a well deserved reputation as a country of yachtsmen and of driving advances in the sailing sector,” said Rodney Martin. “The new McConaghy New Zealand office will perfectly complement the existing McConaghy facilities, and ensure that customers are on the receiving end of both New Zealand’s and McConaghy’s world-class innovation.”
