The Bakri Cono Shipyard, at the Ocean Marina facility in Thailand, is producing a new line of catamarans—a cruiser-sailor, designed by Albatross Marine design Thailand.
The Bakricono 60 can either be powered by twin diesels or by wind. Once onboard this motor-sailor one will be impressed with the light and dark woodwork, lavish furnishings and sophisticated electronics for utilities, maintenance and creature comforts. The accommodations are luxurious. The yacht lends itself well to living aboard with two large double cabins, one in each hull, and a fully equipped common bathroom amid-ship.
Drawing just 1.5m of water, it is easy to get close to shore and take advantage of beautiful, out of the way beaches, bays and inlets. Under power, the Bakricono 60 can cruise about 10 knots. Under sail, the yacht can reach up to 15 knots, making it a candidate for racing as well.
The Bakri Cono Shipyard recently received an award by Boat and Yacht Thailand magazine, “for outstanding contributions to the marine industry and boating safety.”
