Explorer Motor Yachts announces the development of a 46-foot Pilot House model.

The decision follows the success of the yard’s 50 Pilot House, with five boats already sold off the plan. The first 50 Pilot House is being built and is due for delivery in the last quarter of 2014.

The new model offers an attractive next step for the company's many 40-foot flybridge owners around the world.

“The Explorer 40 has been an outstanding success,” says Explorer Motor Yachts CEO Mark Campion. “Now the 46 Pilot House offers an additional dimension of space and luxury.”

Campion says the company’s focus on offering a wide range of custom elements throughout each boat has proved a powerful attraction to boating enthusiasts.

“As a semi-custom builder, our craftsmen work to bring clients’ ideas to life,” he says.

This new cruiser combines the luxuries of handcrafted timbers and leather lounges with the benefits of a raised pilothouse that is suited to long-distance navigation.

The boat is powered by a single Cummins turbo-diesel engine rated to 250hp. A twin-engine model is available.
