First Monte Carlo 5 Delivered To Hong Kong

Simpson Marine continues to celebrate its 30th anniversary of promoting the yachting lifestyle in Asia by delivering the first Monte Carlo 5 (MC5) to Hong Kong. The ceremony took place at Aberdeen Boat Club on June 25. The event included traditional Eastern customs of prayer and a roast suckling pig. A nod was also given to Western customs by breaking a Champagne bottle across her bow.
Now that the owner has received delivery, he is looking forward to cruising local waters with his family and friends as the skipper of his own yacht.
The hull is a teal blue with an axe bow. It was designed for the twin Volvo IPS-600 engines. The ride is fast, solid and surprisingly quiet.
The saloon has a versatile layout and makes good use of interior space. It can be extended to the outside of the cockpit. On the lower deck the owners have a large en-suite stateroom with a separate VIP suite, and a guest cabin with two single beds.
In addition to the first MC5 in Hong Kong, Simpson Marine Thailand has sold the first MC5 in Southeast Asia.
