Rossinavi Introduces Poseidon 44m M/Y
Published: Monday, 14 July 2014
The Poseidon 44 M/Y is designed as a go anywhere exploration yacht. The construction in Ice Class 1B permits this yacht to navigate in areas where it’s likely to encounter floating ice. The main feature of the ice class is the reinforced ice belt around the hull that is able to resist impact loads greater than 55 tonnes per square metre.
Poseidon is a luxury 44-metre aluminium, four-deck expedition motoryacht.
Enrico Gobbi and his Team For Design created a robust, ultra-safe, powerful and comfortable around the world cruising yacht. This semi displacement vessel offers a 10,000-mile range, functionality and seafaring prowess.
Gobbi planned a project that would have little distinction between the design of the exterior and interior spaces. This is emphasised by the eight vertical windows on both sides of the main deck that let loads of light inside the formal dining area and gym. The semi-circular glass surrounded master suite on the upper deck guarantees the owner a splendid view.
One of the most stylish details of the yacht is its enclosed pool and beach area. The glass pool located aft has a diamond-cut bottom edge just above the yacht name showing through the water.
The elegance of the interior areas is emphasised by the use of furniture and other decorations from the Armani Home collection.
The naval architecture and marine engineering of this explorer vessel has been developed by Arrabito Naval Architects. With the standard engines option (C32 Acert Caterpillar 2x 1300 bhp) this vessel will reach a top speed of about 17 knots.
The hull, decks and superstructure will be built in marine grade aluminium. Both hull and superstructure will be a light grey colour.
