Dubois Naval Architects and Royal Huisman announce that they have been appointed to design and build an edgy, high performance 58m (190ft) sloop.

This exciting design will draw on the past experience of both designer and yard.

She will feature a sheer line and sculpted bow that add strength and seaworthiness.

Mast and deck hatches will be by Rondal and a high aspect sail plan and large square top mainsail will add a final measure of horsepower that will be tamed by twin steering stations.

On deck, wide teak planking will downplay a hidden crane, tender garage and large swim spa forward. Aft, a sun bed connects to a beach deck with articulated swim platform.

The interior will include a gym, sauna and library.

“She’s a design that marks a fresh and progressive turning point in our long and successful history,” says Ed Dubois. “We are so very thrilled that this yacht will be built by one of the world’s most experienced and famous builders of sailing yachts, Royal Huisman.”

Delivery is scheduled for the spring of 2017.
