13th International Sailing Summit Goes Live
Published: Wednesday, 12 November 2014
The International Sailing Summit (ISS) will take place on Nov 17. It will be streamed live online for the first time. This worldwide industry forum has never before been as accessible to a global audience.
The Summit theme, Waking Up the Sailing Industry, will focus on how sailing needs to diversify and develop to attract and retain participants’ interest, stressing the importance of modernisation and innovation. Organiser British Sailing, a British Marine Federation (BMF) association, is working in partnership with SailRacer and SportsXsream, to utilise the latest in online technology to help share the benefits of the Summit by providing streaming to sailing enthusiasts.
“During the event audiences can follow the event live and after the event the site will remain and work as an easy accessible frame to find the replays of the recording from each speaker slot including the presentations and all relevant documents,” says Michael Jørgsholm of SportsXstream.
Sailing businesses around the world will be able to view presentations by global industry experts and sailing stars, including Olympic Gold Medallist Iain Percy OBE, Molly Winans of Spinsheet Magazine and Peter Johnstone of Gunboat. These speakers will inspire a unified sailing community with testimonies of success as well as presenting innovative strategies for individual businesses.
Viewers will be in good company with leading sailing companies signed up to attend the Summit. This includes representatives from Harken, Spinlock, Topper International and Raymarine. The Summit takes place in Amsterdam the day before METS, so it still isn’t too late to book your place and take advantage of this year’s 13th International Sailing Summit.
To view the live streaming visit the ISS website from 0800 (GMT) on Nov 17.
