Ocean Independence announces the sale of the Codecasa 50-metre Vintage Series Hull C121, which is scheduled for launch in July 2015.
The yacht was sold to a long-standing charter client of Ocean Independence charter broker Nadia Bendedouche who teamed up with sales broker Eric Trupheme. Together they researched several projects for the discerning client. Project Falcon's design, quality and build time made her the best fit. With support from Ocean Management, the pair negotiated the commercial package and contract with Codecasa.
The vessel is the first unit of the new 50-metre Vintage Series. She is expected to be as successful as the 35-, 41- and 45-metre versions built previously. The yacht will be able to reach a maximum speed of 17.5 knots and have a range of 5,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 12 knots.
The interior design is by Anna Maria and Franco Della Role who created a classic and luxurious environment for guests. There is accommodation for 12 guests in six staterooms plus a full-beam master suite.
A central elevator is featured for the convenience of everyone on board. The yacht also boasts zero speed stabilisers to ensure a calm and relaxing experience for all.
The final hull colour is expected to be a light grey or white with a red stripe at the water line.
“It’s been a great pleasure dealing with Ocean Independence Yachts throughout the transaction and I would like to thank especially Mrs Nadia Bendedouch and Mr Eric Trupheme of Ocean Independence Yachts, headed by Mr Peter Hürzeler, for their continuous support and their invaluable co-operation,” says Ennio Buonomo, Sales Director of Codecasa Shipyards. “Their assistance has been imperative to make the deal run smoothly.”
Ocean Management, known for its build management success with several launches of 50-metre and over super yachts in recent years from prestigious shipyards worldwide, will supervise the build on behalf of the client on site in Italy.
Codecasa Shipyards was etablished in Viareggio, Italy in 1825 by shipwright Giovanni Battista Codecasa. The company is well-known in the luxury yachting industry as a builder of steel and light alloy motoryachts, ranging from 30- to 70-metres.
