SO! DALIAN 2015 Expanding With More Brands, Events
Published: Friday, 23 January 2015
The organisers of the 2nd SO! DALIAN (June 18-21) say that 70 percent of the exhibition space at the marine and lifestyle show in the East Port Marina has been booked and several new events are on the agenda.
Reflecting the fast economic growth of Northern China, SO! DALIAN is expanding considerably with the presence of new yacht, real estate and lifestyle brands that have high expectations from the show in terms of brand visibility and client relationship management, according to the event’s organising company, China Rendez-Vous.
Brands such as Azimut, Sanlorenzo, Beneteau Group, Ferretti Group, Blue Whale, Sea Stella, Jeanneau, Prestige, Dufour and Arcadia have confirmed their participation and organisers say more will be announced soon.
“China Rendez-Vous with the charismatic CEO Mrs Delphine Lignieres is already famous for organising great shows in China like the Sanlorenzo brand is famous for building top luxury yachts in Italy. This is a perfect combination and the reason why we will join again SO! DALIAN and SO! HAINAN with our Sanlorenzo SL96 and SL106 Special Edition," says Sanlorenzo China CEO Traugott Kaminski.
Business aviation, building on a dense network of industrial cities in the North, will be represented with the presence of leading brands such as Dassault Falcon and Gulfstream, among others.
Northern China has seen a lot of real estate developments and a pavilion will be dedicated to the promotion of Dalian as an exciting waterfront investment destination. The city, named several times as the best place to live in China, has a lot of resources to offer in its unique mountain and sea environment. To complement the exclusive real estate offering, a new collection of independent pavilions will be featured including Castles & Vineyards, French Pavilion and the Florida Pavilion.
"We have created comprehensive events in reply to the most recent trends in China and realise that due to an increasing number of the luxury brands on the market, Chinese HNWIs are facing a saturation with the accumulation of luxury event invitations they receive: when they have over 10 invitations on their desk every now and then, choosing the event to attend is not easy for them," Lignieres explains.
"SO! DALIAN comes as an intelligent solution for a platform offering brands and guests the opportunity to mingle and interact in the background of lifestyle activities and sport competition, ensuring the presence of the guests during all four days of the show thanks to a comprehensive programme developed together with brands covering various industries."
As a part of the second edition of the Beach Polo World Cup, eight polo teams from China and overseas will compete in the tournament organised in association with The Polo Life from Florida, China Rendez-Vous' beach polo partner. Also returning to Dalian is the golf tournament organised by the Legacy Club, managed by Alain Sarfatti.
"Horse riding is a secular tradition in the North of China. Hence the Beach Polo World Cup comes as a perfect way to lead people to the sea. We have partnered with leading horse riding schools and polo clubs to get the best combination of both marine and equestrian sectors," Lignieres says.
The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) from Dalian is active in developing SO! DALIAN as a major economic rendezvous. During the show, a two-day economic forum in partnership with CBN, one of China's major economic media conglomerates and part of SMG group, will cover investment opportunities in boating, vineyards, art and horses.
SO! DALIAN will also provide guests with opportunities to experience wine tastings, sea trials, demo flights, forums, regattas, match races and gala dinners.
The 2015 events organised by China Rendez-Vous include superyacht, classic car and ski lifestyle shows combined with rich cultural/networking programmes featuring art and music festivals, business forums and sporting attractions.
