Published: Friday, 30 January 2015
The organisers of the 6th China Rendez-Vous in Sanya, Hainan have confirmed the new dates of Nov 27-30 for this year’s event and its plans to continue the expansion of the exhibition area.
“In order to provide an exhibition of grander scale and highest quality, our Board of Directors has decided to postpone the 6th China Rendez-Vous, 2015 from April 2-5 to November 27-30,” the organisers say. “This decision was made upon thorough research made during the development of Visun Yacht Club West Coast, where factors including the climate and other objective data were taken into consideration, we regret that this decision was made to ensure the success of China Rendez-Vous.”
The organisers added that with improved facilities and accessibility, the event would create for leading global brands a more international, professional, and prestigious brand exhibition as well as communication exchange platform.
In 2015, the ground exhibition area will expand from 2014’s 4,589 square metres to 6,000sqm, a 33% increase. In addition, specially selected and invited brands are expected to see a 33% increase from 2014’s 90 brands to this year’s 120. The organisers also say they will invite more VIPs from Hong Kong, Macau, and other greater Asia-Pacific areas.
Encompassing luxury yachts, business jet planes, and prestigious lifestyles as one at China Rendez-Vous, the luxury yacht category continues to account for the largest group of exhibitors each year.
The organisers claim the event has assisted multiple international yacht brands to enter the China market, facilitating exchange and cooperation between Chinese and foreign manufacturers, as well as presenting China’s yacht industry to the global market.
Additionally, the committee has introduced the event’s first “Italian Pavilion”, represented by Italian National Delegations. Guests will be able to experience Italian culture through a rich collection of Italian brands, furniture, handicrafts and Italian cuisine.
Another highlight of the event will be the revealing of the plans for the “Blue Project”, organised in collaboration with the State Oceanic Administration, People’s Republic of China. Attendees will be able to participate in the “Salute to the Ocean” marina art exhibition, an exhibition of domestic and foreign photography and art installations that promote positive messages of marine preservation and culture, raising the awareness of ocean environment protection and sustainability.
The China Rendez-Vous committee mentioned that November was chosen by taking into account the weather and temperature of Sanya, as well as being the peak season for tourists escaping the cold weather in the north.
The committee has also confirmed the sponsorship and participation of Chow Tai Fook, currently the highest-valued Asian jewellery brand. Attracted by the organisers' aim of creating a “Global Hub for Boutique Jewellery”, Chow Tai Fook is committed to bringing forth designs filled with artistic and cultural inspirations, including rare gems from across the globe.
World-renowned Swiss watch brand HUBLOT will participate once again and showcase collections inspiring the search and desire for individuality, sharing the message and philosophy of “Inclusive Art”. HUBLOT will exhibit its latest 2015 Geneva and Barcelona collection.
The November 27-30 event will also feature art galleries, fashion shows and golf tournaments.
Meanwhile, Visun Royal Yacht Club and Toscana Refit S.r.l.’s Sino-Italian joint venture company, Sanya Visun Tuscany Yachting Co Ltd, hosted its grand opening ceremony on Jan 16. The service centre is said to be the first in China to provide all-inclusive tailored services at world-class standards, providing more comprehensive supporting services for international yacht brands attending the Rendez-Vous, as well as other foreign yachts entering the China Seas.
