Williams Launches Sportjet 520 At London Boat Show Jan 9-18

The Williams Sportjet 520 combines the safety and fun of a jet drive with the high performance of the industry-leading BRP Rotax 4-TEC 200 engine. This craft was designed to impress water sports enthusiasts with its speed and practicality.
Light enough to be trailed behind a car or easily stored on the platform of a yacht, the Sportjet 520 will appeal to both standalone boaters, as well as yacht owners looking for another Williams’ tender. The 520 features everything seen on the Sportjet 460 but with the benefit of additional space and storage.
As a yacht tender, it offers safety with no exposed propeller, easy boarding and a concealed bathing ladder – offering the stability and comfort that only a RIB can give. A windscreen, ski pole, navigation lights and bathing ladder are fitted as standard with optional extras including LED lights, bimini, spray dodger, Garmin chart plotter and a Fusion music system.
The Rotax 4-TEC series is recognised as one of the cleanest and quietest engines in the industry, providing high performance handling and low maintenance, as well as meeting the stringent CARB 3-star ultra-low-emission standards.
“We have been delighted with the response to the launch of the Sportjet range and we are very pleased with our long-term relationship working with BRP,” says Mathew Hornsby, Sales Director at Williams Performance Tenders. “The performance of both models has been outstanding and we hope to introduce even more customers to the world of the Sportjet at the London Boat Show.”
The company celebrated its 10 year anniversary in 2014, as well as its strongest ever order book. Williams also saw increasing levels of business from manufacturers such as Hanse and Beneteau Group with its Prestige range. Both these manufacturers, along with other key brands such as Princess and Sunseeker, have designed garages specifically to fit a Williams tender.
At the Southampton Boat Show in September, Williams took home the Sunseeker Supplier of the Year award, in recognition of the team’s outstanding performance in meeting Sunseeker’s most demanding requirements.
“2014 was an incredible year for Williams, with the world launch of our new Sportjet range at the Yachting Festival de Cannes and our fantastic 10 year celebration,” says Hornsby. “We also saw our best results yet at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show in October. We are starting 2015 in a strong position and are very excited about what the year ahead will bring. We look forward to welcoming talented new members of staff to the team and continuing to grow the Williams brand.”
