Final Hurdle For Dongfeng Race Team In Leg 4 Of Volvo Ocean Race

With 800 miles still to go in Leg 4 of the Volvo Ocean Race, Dongfeng Race Team is fighting to keep their slim lead ahead of Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing with just three days of racing left before they reach Auckland, the finishing port for this leg.
Dongfeng has made an amazing comeback from what seemed like a desperate place last week. To be in the lead once again in Leg 4 is one of Dongfeng Skipper Charles Caudrelier’s proudest moments to date.
After winning Leg 3, there was a lot of pressure on Dongfeng to perform. As a team, they’ve proved they can pull together under the most difficult of circumstances and come out on top.
The known obstacles that remain are crossing a weather front in about 24 hours and strategies on how to finish in what will likely be light winds.
