Maiden Voyage For Dubai’s First Long-tail Boat
Published: Wednesday, 25 March 2015
Dubai’s first ever-Thai long-tail boat is now available, offering journeys from Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa on the Palm Jumeirah to Dubai Marina and back.
The authentic vessel, shipped from Thailand, will be making several trips per day from the beach resort’s private jetty, through the bottom of the Palm Jumeirah and over to Dubai Marina on the city’s mainland. The colourful long-tail boat, known as a “Ruea Hang Yao” in Thai, can transport up to 10 people per trip and is available to both in-house and external guests.
“At Anantara we want each of our guests to leave with unique stories to tell back home,” says Jean-Francois Laurent, General Manager at Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa. “The story of the boat is a tale in itself, having made the long journey from the land of smiles. Embarking on a picturesque trip sailing through one of the most iconic areas of Dubai, aboard an authentic Thai long-tail boat is a story to share with all your friends and family.”
Offering an urban escape in the cosmopolitan destination of the United Arab Emirates, Anantara’s Dubai hideaway has 293 luxurious rooms and villas, characterised by Asian-inspired luxury. Days can be spent enjoying the exotic pleasures of the resort’s private 400-metre beach, the three winding lagoon-inspired pools and shoreline infinity pool, or by indulging in any of the soothing treatments at Anantara Spa.
