HYS Yachts Introduces 43-metre World Explorer
Published: Monday, 20 April 2015
The HYS World Explorer yacht, offered in four variations, is a go anywhere vessel. Manufactured in the Philippines, the yacht is built on a 43-metre Japanese government ice strengthened hull with dynamic positioning capability. The latest features will include a zero speed stabiliser system, dynamic positioning capability and an 8,000 nautical mile range.
The Optimus option features an aft beach club with seating, bar, massage and gym facilities. Thalassa offers space for one 8-metre unlimited air draft tender and other toys. The Pontus design can accommodate dual 8-metre unlimited air draft tenders. The final option, Aether, has room for two 7-metre low-profile tenders as well as a helideck capable of landing a 2-ton helicopter.
The HYS client will be able to fully customise this “Highbred” yacht project to his specific requirements, regardless of which option he chooses.
“Unlike typical conversions, we aren’t just re-arranging existing spaces of an existing vessel,” says HYS Naval Architect Simon Jupe. “This is a full-on new build executed on top of an exceptionally engineered and maintained Japanese government hull and prime mover system.”
Build time is approximately 24 months.
