Silver Yachts launched the 77-metre Silver Fast on March 29 in Perth, Western Australia. Silver Fast is the fourth and most advanced, fuel efficient vessel in the award-winning Silver series.
Designed by Espen Øino, Silver Fast has the sleek contour and hull lines of her predecessors but with the striking silver paint that Øino had in mind from the beginning.
At 77 metres (252.6 feet) she has a top speed of 29 knots in optimal conditions. Silver Fast has a range of 4,500 nautical miles (nm) at 18 knots and a range of 6,000nm at 14 knots. She is capable of crossing from Australia to Europe in 21 days with one fuel stop.
The yacht is driven by two MTU engines with 2720kW @ 2100 rpm and also boasts three Northern Lights Generators, Quantum Zero Speed stabilisers and a tender garage with gull wing doors.
Silver Fast will be undergoing sea trials and her delivery is planned for May 2015.
