The Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club (RHKYC) announces a multiple-year extension to their Official Timepiece agreement with Rolex.

First signed in 1997, the partnership agreement includes title sponsorship of the premier Asian blue-water classic, China Sea Race, as well as Official Timepiece of the Club.

“We are extremely proud to continue our partnership with Rolex and are very thankful for their continued support of the club and its sailing events,” says RHKYC General Manager, Mark Bovaird.

The RHKYC is one of the oldest sports clubs in Hong Kong stretching back over 160 years of social and competitive sailing and rowing.

“RHKYC and Rolex each share an enduring commitment to excellence in offshore yacht racing,” says RHKYC Rear Commodore of Sailing, Anthony Day. “This strengthening of our association will only help us to further develop and promote increasingly challenging racing in the future."

The 2016 China Sea Race will start on Wednesday 23 March.  The Notice of Race and entry form for this 656-nm Category 1 Offshore race can be found at the race website.
