Superyacht Australia will host its third annual Tahiti Rendezvous on June 26.
Invitations to the networking event are extended to all superyacht captains, owners and crew who will be in the South Pacific over this period.
“Tahiti is seen as the gateway into the South Pacific and is a unique cruising destination for the global superyacht fleet,” says Superyacht Australia CEO MaryAnne Edwards. “What we are seeing is that the superyachts cruise or charter in this area and then head to Australia for their routine maintenance and refit requirements. Australia has a reputation second to none for quality work, meeting budgets and delivering on time. We have the expertise, capability and reputation for delivering on owners and captain’s requirements.”
Australia’s key regional superyacht clusters will also be present representing the key regions of interest to superyachts wanting to cruise in Australian waters. These include Marine WA, NSW Superyacht Industry Association and Superyacht Queensland. They will provide quality information regarding the capabilities of their region in terms of refits, repairs, agents, interior design and furnishing, marinas, suppliers, equipment manufacturers and well-planned cruising itineraries to satisfy owners and captain’s requirements when planning a journey.
“We see this event as an excellent way to ensure the superyachts in the South Pacific are fully informed about Australia and the regions excellent cruising grounds, iconic events and high quality facilities,” says Edwards.
Superyacht Australia is also working closely with NZ Marine, Tahiti and Fiji to develop a collaborative approach to marketing the Pacific region. It is expected the company will take this event to other key Pacific destinations with Fiji & New Zealand also being major destinations for superyachts.
