Tankoa Yachts Launches S693 Suerte
Published: Friday, 03 July 2015
The Tankoa S693 Suerte has successfully launched. She will debut at the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show, September 23-26.
The announcement comes from Tankoa Yachts and Yacht-Ology. This is the first yacht from the Genoa-based Shipyard, Tankoa Yachts.
The 69.3-metre M/Y Suerte will undertake its sea trials, technical tests, stability tests and all necessary class endurance runs throughout July. The yacht will be ready for final delivery mid-August 2015.
“Achieving such perfect balance at first launch happens once every 40 new launches,” says Tankoa GM Edoardo Ratto. “I am truly and sincerely emotional about it because this is our first yacht as Tankoa and despite our impressive technical office, the highest level of professionalism of our engineers and our background in yacht building there are always some unforeseen factors that can affect balance at the time of first launching. Most builders are still capable to compensate an eventual slight balance issue with all that is left to install onboard, but here, we have nothing to correct.”
The launching of the first yacht in Tankoa 70 meter series was celebrated July 1 with a dinner for 500 guests inside the 100m dry dock with Suerte berthed ahead.
In addition to the debut of Suerte, Tankoa will introduce two 53m models at MYS 2015.
