Teammate Wanted For 2015 Julbo Sessions

French sailor Franck Cammas and Sports eyewear brand Julbo are recruiting for the 2015 Julbo Sessions in November.
Every year, Julbo offers one of their athletes a chance to realise a dream with a unique sporting feat. Cammas has chosen an expedition to Cape Horn in a Nacra F20 Carbon FCS. An amateur enthusiast will be chosen to accompany the skipper on this sailing challenge.
“I have three dreams, the first was realised; it was to win the Volvo Ocean Race,” says Cammas. “The second is to do the America's Cup, and we are actively working on that with my team. My third dream is to round the Horn on a flying catamaran.”
Cammas is the head of Groupama Team France for the 35th Americas Cup, which will be held on 48-foot foiling catamarans in Bermuda in 2017. He won the 2011-2012 Volvo Ocean Race with Groupama Sailing Team.
Interested candidates should demonstrate a strong background in sport catamarans or dinghy sailing. They are invited to post their nautical CV and a video presentation of themselves, along with sailing images on the Julbo website before September.
Franck Cammas and Julbo will select the most suitable people, who will then be invited to a training session in Lorient, France in September.
Teammates should prepare for a unique adventure.
“Sailing on flying boats is more stressful and requires concentration at all times,” says Cammas. “It’s physically demanding.”
The duo of Cammas and his teammate will travel a total of nearly 100 nautical miles by flying catamaran in the freezing waters of Patagonia. Once the sporting challenge is accomplished, they will land on the rock of the Horn and meet the lighthouse keeper and his family.
