Cannes Yachting Festival Officially Begins

Cannes Yachting Festival has officially begun, welcoming the biggest names in boating and the most prestigious yachts.
Celebrating its 38th anniversary, the six-day festival will be hosting its first Concours d’Elegance reserved for motorboats and day boats under 12-metres. The competition will also offer a look into maritime history with the collection of rare and vintage boats.
Also making its first appearance at the event is the SUP Night Festival. The 100km stand-up paddle overnight relay will start on the beach in fron of the Palais de Festivals and will finish the following morning in the middle of Old Port.
Nearly 100 world premieres will be showcased with a variety in terms of length, design, monohull/multihull, and motor/sail.

Italian shipbuilder Ferretti Group will display a number of new models, including the 22.9m Riva 76, the 26.7m Riva 88 Domino Super and the impressive 32.9m Custom Line 108.
Azimut will present a fleet of fifteen yachts at the festival, two of which will be world premieres: the Azimut Magellano 66 and the Azimut 72. The 20m Azimut Magellano 66 is the fifth model of the Magellano Collection. Azimut 72 Flybridge is a 22.6m yacht boasting highly technical construction methods with extensive use of carbon fibre.

The 38.1m Benetti Vivace 125 will also debut, featuring a sporty interior and three decks plus a sun deck.
Asia’s leading new yacht sales and brokerage company, Simpson Marine will have a strong appearance in Cannes. As the exclusive Asian distributor for Sanlorenzo and exclusive distributor for Monte Carlo Yachts in Mainland China and Taiwan, the Simpson Marine team will work alongside the two brands at the event.
Sanlorenzo shipyard will be exhibiting nine boats at the event, including the new SL86, the latest addition to its planing hull range
The MCY 105, the first MCY vessel over 100 feet, will makes its world premiere.
Living up to its reputation as Europe’s leading in-water yachting festival, the event will welcome visitors to view a number of yachts from well-known brands including Sunreef Yachts, Beneteau, Princess Yachts and Numarine, among others.
The festival continues to strengthen its international and luxury lifestyle appeal. This year’s event expects over 50,000 visitors.
