Italy-based boat builder Codecasa Shipyards delivered the first 50-metre Codecasa 50 – Vintage Series M/Y Gazzella in July. The delivery comes after the success of the first two 42m units belonging to the Vintage Series, M/Y Magari and M/Y Libra.
Designed by the shipyard technical staff in cooperation with designers, Codecasa aimed to find a perfect balance between past and presence.
For the first 50m of the Vintage Series, the owner has chosen white for both the hull and superstructure. The plain and traditional exterior lines combine with classic interiors made of mahogany wood and mahogany plume. Floorings will feature precious marbles and onyx or carpet with elegant decorations. The main saloon is made up with a long conversation area including two large sofas and four armchairs surrounding a mahogany coffee table and a 65-inch television.
The saloon is lit with natural light coming from the big windows and it is further increased by the continuation with the dining room.
Through the dining room, guests can enter the pantry on the portside equipped with the latest appliances. Going forward on the starboard side, from the dining room is the main hallway featuring the main staircase with elegant handrails connecting the bridge deck to the guests’ area in the lower deck. Gazella also features an elevator connecting all decks from the lower to the sundeck.
The lower deck features four cabins, two of which are double-bedded and two twin-bedded. Each comes with its own bathroom. Also on this deck is the crew area made up of four double cabins, the Chief Engineer’s cabin, a laundry area and built-in walk-in refrigerators.
On the bridge deck is the sky lounge, which gives a more intimate and less formal vibe than the main deck saloon. The spacious area includes a comfortable siting area in front of a TV, breakfast table and bar furniture.
The exterior areas of all decks provide a pleasant relaxation area. On the main deck the cockpit alternates with the alfresco dining area on the aft bridge deck, which is able to sit 12 people.
The sun deck offers a large sunbathing area, a sitting area, a bar corner and a large Jacuzzi accompanied by sunbathing mattresses.
Gazella features a Castoldi 21’ jet tender and Zero Speed Stabilisers. Thanks to its two Caterpillar 3512C marine engines with 2365 HP, she is able to reach a top speed of 17.5 knots at light displacement and a range of about 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots speed.
