The 14.7-metre GT 46, the latest addition to the recently-launched Gran Turismo range, made its first appearance at the Paris Boat Show (Dec 5-13).

The 46 is the second model in the new generation of Beneteau-designed Sports Cruisers, and although similar in style to the GT 40, it represents a significant step forward in terms of customisation, quality of materials and finish. Despite being sporty in character, it is also designed to ensure high levels of safety combined with a luxurious décor.

The hard top has an electrically-powered side glazing so that an “open” feeling can be enjoyed. A fully opening glass door also maintains this impression and is available as an option. The cockpit seats are spread out in this configuration, giving plenty of space.

Aft seat convert into sun loungers at the push of a button, lowering the seat backs and raising the footrests. This makes the rear of the cockpit ideal for relaxation. The glass door separates the cockpit from the exterior when it is closed. In this case, the cockpit becomes a more private space, protected from the weather and onlookers.

A second galley is located in the cockpit behind the co-pilot’s seat or at the stern of the boat, according to preference. Available with a choice of two or three cabins, the GT 46 offers exceptional guest accommodation, unrivalled on this size of speedboat.

The generous motorised swim platform, on option, lowers to just below sea level, affording easy access to the water for water sports. It also stabilises the boat at anchor.

The GT 46 incorporates the latest generation Beneteau-designed Air Step2 planing hull and for the first time offers a choice of a Volvo IPS 600 motor or a Z Drive, with power of up to 2 x 400 HP. Safe, easily manoeuvrable and with its sporting characteristics, this new unit promises to provide the maximum in sailing pleasure.
